The Cedar Rapids Community School District (CRCSD) is pleased to announce a new collaborative effort to address food insecurity within the Cedar Rapids community. Through partnerships with local organizations and government officials, CRCSD is launching a program to provide free breakfast and lunch to community members, no matter their age, starting July 18, 2024.

The program will be hosted at Johnson STEAM Academy, 355 18th St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., and lunch will be served from 11:00 to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This initiative intends to provide much-needed support to those facing food insecurity during the summer months.

The program will run through August 16, 2024. This collaborative effort is a powerful demonstration of what can happen when we unite as a community for the common good.

CRCSD is committed to serving the community and making a meaningful difference in the fight against food insecurity.
