The Board of Education is required by State Code to publish the Fiscal Year 2026 Proposed Property Tax Notice and hold the two Public Hearings on or after March 20, 2025, regarding the FY26 Certified Budget. The District is proposing a published tax levy rate of $13.84455 per , compared to the current rate of $13.90088 in FY2025.

On February 24, 2025, the Board of Education approved publication of the Fiscal Year 2026 Proposed Property Tax Notice and scheduled the first of two Public Hearings to be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, to allow public comment regarding the FY26 Proposed Tax Notice with a proposed total levy rate of 13.84455. The publication appeared on March 19, 2025 in the Cedar Rapids Gazette and posted to the District’s social media account. The second Public Hearing will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025.
