This year, we are taking a stronger stance on physical aggression in our secondary schools (grades 6-12), with updates to our district’s behavior expectations.
- Physical aggression will result in clear and consistent consequences.
- Students will be supported through individual student plans to help them understand how to better navigate conflict and remain connected to their education.
Simply put, physical aggression has no place in our schools. We are taking a firm stance to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff. The new guidelines will focus on immediate consequences and a supportive approach to helping students learn from their mistakes. We believe in accountability and support and remain committed to helping students grow socially and emotionally.
Enhanced Student Support: SEBH Coaches and Therapeutic Classrooms
To further support student well-being, we are expanding our Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Health (SEBH) services this year.
- Every school will have a dedicated SEBH Intervention Specialist to help students build emotional skills, navigate challenges, and stay connected.
- We are also launching therapeutic classrooms designed to offer intensive, short-term support for students experiencing significant emotional or behavioral stress.
We are committed to educating the whole child at CRCSD, including their social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. We have high expectations and provide the consistent, dignified, and caring support needed to help them thrive.
