We want to take a moment to thank you for your support and engagement during the November 4 bond referendum. While the results are still unofficial, the proposal fell just short of the 60% approval required to pass, reflecting a narrow margin and strong community participation.
We are deeply grateful to the 59.3% of voters who supported our students and schools. Your belief in our vision for safe, accessible, and innovative learning spaces inspires us every day and guides our work to give students the best possible educational experiences.
Thank you to all families for helping your students show up, learn, and thrive each day. Your partnership, along with the dedication of staff and community volunteers, makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our learners. This process highlighted the strength of our community when we come together, and we are grateful for the support you provide to our schools.
While the bond did not pass, the needs it addressed, such as modernizing aging buildings, improving learning spaces, and providing innovative environments, remain. We are committed to continuing this important work for our students.
Next Steps for Our Students
In the coming weeks and months, the district will:
- Review feedback from families, staff, and the community to better understand the results and identify priorities
- Re-evaluate our facilities master plan to focus on the most immediate and critical needs for student learning and safety
- Develop a revised plan for our schools that continues to address student needs responsibly
Moving Forward Together
This moment is not the end of our work. We remain committed to ensuring that every student has access to safe, engaging, and high-quality learning environments. Together, we will continue to build the schools and classrooms that support our students’ success.
We will keep you updated as we plan our next steps. Thank you for your ongoing support of our students, our schools, and our community.
With gratitude,
Dr. Tawana Grover
