Celebrate Earth Day at the Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation on Saturday, April 20, 2024, 1:00PM–4:00PM!

Visit the educational stations to learn about native prairies, invasive species, trees, monarchs, birds, native pollinators, honey bees, rocks and minerals, sustainability, watersheds and flood prevention, food waste and composting, Leave No Trace, habitat restoration, solar eclipses, and more!

Station hosts include the Xerces Society, Pheasants Forever, Cedar Valley Rocks and Minerals Society, Buffalo Ridge Orchard, Iowa Flood Center, Iowa Waste Reduction Center, Trees Forever, Monarch Research Station, and other local conservation experts.

Make a pinecone bird feeder, build a mason bee house, take a guided hike, plant a seed, and participate in more hands-on activities!

The Howard H. Cherry Scout Reservation is located at 4521 Boy Scouts Road, Central City, IA 52241. The event is family friendly, free, and open to the public. Weather permitting, this event will be held outdoors.
