Schools across the CRCSD held Veterans Day assemblies to thank all veterans for their military service. Fourth and fifth grade students at Harrison Elementary School serenaded local veterans and family members with patriotic songs.

Van Buren Elementary began its celebration with a presentation of the colors by one of their substitute teachers, Deb Covington. Mrs. Covington shared her experiences during the Vietnam War and showed a quilt she was gifted for her efforts in Operation Babylift. Mark Moyer, a former paratrooper, donated his uniform to the school.
