The Cedar Rapids Community School District (CRCSD) is proud to share the commencement schedule for the Class of 2026.

Families, friends, and community members are invited to join in celebrating the hundreds of success stories represented by this year’s historic 81.98% graduation rate. The ceremonies will take place across various venues in Cedar Rapids, starting Tuesday, May 19.

  • City View: Tuesday, May 19, 7 PM at CSPS Hall
  • Metro: Wednesday, May 20, 7-9 PM at DoubleTree
  • Transition Center: Thursday, May 21, 1:00 PM, at ELSC in Cedar D
  • WHS: Thursday, May 21, 7-9 PM at Alliant Powerhouse
  • JHS: Friday, May 22, 7-9 PM at Alliant Powerhouse
  • KHS: Saturday, May 23, 7-9 PM at Alliant Powerhouse

Celebrating a Landmark Year

This year’s graduation season is particularly significant as the district celebrates a 2.91% increase in graduates over the previous year. The ceremonies will honor a diverse group of learners, including those who have benefited from the district’s specialized pathways like City View, Metro, and the Transition Center.

“A student doesn’t just ‘arrive’ at graduation day; they are carried there by a community,” the district shared in a recent statement. “These ceremonies are a celebration of that collective effort—from our teachers and support staff to the families who have cheered these students on every step of the way.”

Attendance Information

  • Venues: Guests are encouraged to arrive early, especially for ceremonies held at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse, to allow for parking and seating.
  • Accessibility: All venues are equipped with accessible seating for guests with disabilities.
  • Live Streaming: For those unable to attend in person, please check the CRCSD website for potential live-stream links closer to the event dates.

As our graduates prepare to enter the workforce, technical trades, or four-year universities, we pause to celebrate the resilience and dedication that brought them to this milestone.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
