Whether it’s your first job or your lifelong career, the Career Readiness Boot Camp gives you an opportunity to learn new skills and practice your abilities. The BootCamp is offered every Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm.
8:30-9:00 AM – Intro to Our American Job Center – learn about all the amazing (free) services we offer across our center
9:00-9:30 AM – Soft Skills – gain a better understanding of key soft skills and how they can complement & leverage your existing skill set
9:30 – 10:00 AM – Intro to IowaWORKS.gov – learn tips & tricks for using our website and looking for job
10:15 AM-12:00 PM – Resume Lab – intensive assistance creating and updating your resume in our private computer lab
1:00-2:30 PM – Interview Lab – tips & tricks for job interviews along with a mock interview with our team
2:30-3:30 PM – Discussion & Next Steps
