America Reads is a national challenge to improve literacy in elementary school-age children. Metro area school districts will celebrate the importance of reading during the month of October. The reading dates for 2025 are October 9th for Marion Independent and Xavier Catholic Schools, and Truman ELC (CRCSD), and October 10th for Cedar Rapids, College, and Linn-Mar Community Schools.
